Ponta Delgada to Faial Island
“Bom Dia” to the beautiful Island. After an early morning arrival to Sao Miguel Island, you will take the next plane to the island of Faial. Upon Arrival and check into the Hotel, we will meet for lunch at Peter’s Café Sport, one of the most emblematic restaurants/coffee shops in the archipelago. Your journey will take you on a City Tour through the town of Horta. The Port of Horta was an important anchorage for galleons during the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries on their way between Europe and the Americas.

Full Day Tour of Faial Island
You begin your full day tour discovering the island of Faial by driving through the city of Horta. Horta is most famous for its cosmopolitan yacht harbor. Your next stop is at the scenic point of Espalamaca to view the harbor and all its surroundings, followed by a visit to the Caldeira. The Caldeira is a large crater in the central part of the island where you view the beautiful natural landscape. As you descend to the center of the island, you encounter cattle grazing on hillsides.
We will then visit “Fazenda Granja”, a local private farm where we will we will taste herbs, vegetables, and learn the history and farm produce.
In the evening we will have a family style dinner in a collaboration between the farm owners and our chef.

Full Day Tour of Faial Island
Faial (meaning “beech wood”) was named after wax myrtle, once abundant on the island, and mistaken for beech trees. Your day begins with a visit to several touristic spots, such as, the Capelinhos Volcano, where you can explore the landscape created by the volcanic eruption of 1947. We will also you stop at a camping area with a reconstructed home depicting a typical “old farm” Faial house. We will have the chance for a special lunch and wine tasting.

Full Day Tour of São Jorge Island
Today’s journey will have you embark on a ferry ride to the Island of São Jorge where we will spend the next 2 nights. The Island of São Jorge is known for the production of the renowned São Jorge cheese, a hard spicy cheese made with raw cow milk. Enjoy a visit to one of the factories and learn about the process of production.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant where we will have the chance of tasting the famous “Amejoas”.

Full Day São Jorge Island
S.Jorge is known for its rugged landscape and volcanic landscape, known as Fajãs. You will have the opportunity to visit these small volcanic peninsulas and admire the beauty that surrounds them.
Enjoy a tasting of locally grown coffee from the Fajã do Ouvidor, the only place in the country where coffee is produced.

Full Day Tour of Pico Island
Today’s journey will have you embark on a ferry ride to the Island of Pico, the last island of our journey.
We start our exploration of Pico with a visit to the famous whaling village of Lajes where we will visit the famous museum, followed by a typical “churrasco” picnic surrounded by nature at the São João forest Park. Lunch will feature regional sausages, cheese, preserves, breads and meats from the Azores Wagyu Company cooked by Chef Telmo himself.

Full Day Tour of Pico Island
Towering over the island at 7713 ft. Montanha do Pico is Portugal’s highest mountain and at its base you will witness the basaltic landscapes where the vines grow intertwined with the volcanic rocks.
Our tour will start in the Wine cooperative where we will indulge in a tasting.
Lunch will be served in a local winehouse (Adega).
Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the vineyards of Criação Velha, classified as World Heritage by Uncesco, before visiting the Arcos do Cachorro (Dogs Arches) for some breathtaking views of the erosive influence of the ocean waves.
The day will end with a visit to the Azores Wine company, a private winery that specializes in Premium Azores wines. Farewell dinner will be served there.
Our final morning in the Azores will be at leisure, before making your way to the airport for the return flight home.
