Itineraries

Day 1

Evening departure

Evening departure from Logan Airport to São Miguel Island aboard Azores Airlines. Complimentary meal served on board with beverages. 

Day 1

Arrival and half day food tour

Arrive at your hotel and settle in for your first day of exploration. Your food tour begins with a visit to the local market where you’ll sample an array of cheeses and freshly baked breads. Next, enjoy a visit to a renowned wine shop for an exquisite wine and chocolate tasting experience. You’ll continue your culinary adventure at a charming restaurant, where you’ll savor traditional Azorean food. Head to another restaurant for fresh seafood and finish the day with a delightful coffee or tea paired with pastries at an Azorean pastry.

Day 2

Sete Cidades Full Day Tour

Travel to the stunning Sete Cidades, where you’ll visit Quinta do Agricultor for a farm-to-table experience. Enjoy a guided tour of the farm, followed by a tasting of freshly baked bread and a traditional Azorean lunch. Afterward, head to the breathtaking Vista do Rei viewpoint, where you’ll be captivated by the panoramic views of the twin lakes nestled in the volcanic crater. Continue to the village of Sete Cidades, known for its charming streets and picturesque surroundings, offering a glimpse into life in one of the most scenic spots on the island. Finally, visit a pineapple plantation for an exclusive pineapple tasting.

Day 3

Furnas and Cozido Experience

Today in the picturesque town of Furnas, explore the Terra Nostra Botanical Garden, a lush haven of native and exotic plants. Indulge in a traditional Cozido lunch, cooked in the volcanic soil for hours. You’ll meet the chef from Tony's restaurant for an authentic experience and learn about this unique method of cooking.
 
The day will end with a visit to the Gorreana Tea Factory, where you will learn about the island’s tea industry and the tea production, still operated by 19th century machinery. Enjoy a tasting of the famous green and black tea while admiring the lush plantations and dramatic coastlines.

Day 4

Full Day Lagoa do Fogo

In the morning, we will visit the stunning Lagoa do Fogo, a caldera lake surrounded by lush nature and dramatic landscapes. Next, we head to Ribeira Grande, where you'll have the opportunity to explore the town's charming streets and learn about its rich history. A visit to a local brewery will offer a taste of the region's craft beers. Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch in Monte Verde, where you’ll savor a rich fish soup, followed by Filetes and Chicharros, traditional Azorean fish dishes. We’ll end the day with a visit to Quinta do Jardinete for a wine tasting experience, sampling some of the best local wines.

Day 5

Nordeste and Sunrise Experience

Today we explore the most eastern part of the island, Nordeste. known as the 10th Azorean Island due to its remoteness it’s also the oldest geological part of the Island. We will witness a breathtaking sunrise from one of São Miguel's most scenic viewpoints. Enjoy a serene picnic breakfast as you take in the stunning views of the lush valleys and rugged coastline.

Day 6

Free Day and Farewell Dinner

In the evening, we will have memorable farewell dinner, where you'll enjoy delicious local cuisine accompanied by a lively performance from a traditional folklore group. Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of the Azores as the music and dance bring the island's rich heritage to life, creating a truly unforgettable experience.

Day 7

Departure

Transfer to the airport for your departure, taking with you unforgettable memories of São Miguel’s vibrant food, culture, and stunning landscapes.
