Day 2

Eira and Cristo Rey

This tour begins at Pico dos Barcelos, which offers stunning views over Funchal, before ascending to Eira do Serrado to take in the breathtaking scenery of Curral das Freiras. Next, we’ll visit the heart of this charming village before heading to the picturesque Cristo Rei viewpoint on the eastern side of the island.

Day 3

Porto Moniz

Today, embark on one of Madeira’s most iconic excursions. Begin your journey in the charming fishing villages of Câmara de Lobos and Ribeira Brava, before following the scenic southwest coast to Calheta. From there, ascend to the breathtaking Paul da Serra plateau, known for its sweeping views and unique landscape.

Descending to the rugged north coast, arrive at Porto Moniz, famous for its natural volcanic swimming pools—an awe-inspiring sight framed by the Atlantic. The adventure continues with a dramatic drive along the island’s cliff-hugging north coast road to São Vicente, a picturesque village nestled in the lush Laurisilva forest.

Travel inland through a serene valley to the mountain pass of Encumeada, then conclude your day with a stop at Cabo Girão, one of the highest sea cliffs in the world, offering vertigo-inducing views from its glass skywalk.

Santana

Continue to Ribeiro Frio, home to a historic trout hatchery set within the island’s lush laurel forest.

Next, arrive in Santana, where you’ll explore the island’s most iconic traditional thatched-roof A-frame houses—a postcard-perfect scene. The journey takes you further along the picturesque north coast, stopping in Porto da Cruz and Portela, where dramatic cliffs and mountain vistas await.
