In the afternoon, the tour continues toward Foz and Matosinhos, driving along one of the most beautiful seaside avenues. Half Day Aveiro
After the meeting point, we will board our minibus and head towards the coastal city of Aveiro. Along the way, your guide will share insights into Portugal’s history, development, and cultural heritage.
Upon arrival in Aveiro, we’ll start with a guided walking tour through the city center, passing by stunning Art Nouveau residences, historic streets lining the canals, the fish market, and the Church of São Gonçalinho. You’ll soon realize that Aveiro is a truly special city, where tradition and modernity blend harmoniously. Did you know that Aveiro is part of the "Réseau Art Nouveau Network", alongside Barcelona, Brussels, Budapest, Glasgow, Helsinki, and Havana? As one of the oldest cities in Portugal, founded by the Romans as Bracara Augusta, Braga is rich in history. Stroll through its charming historic center with your guide and explore the Sé de Braga, the country’s oldest cathedral, showcasing a blend of Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque styles. Don’t miss the Jardim de Santa Bárbara, a picturesque retreat surrounded by the ruins of the Archiepiscopal Palace, where colorful flowers and medieval architecture create a fairy-tale setting.
