You will arrive in at Madeira’s Airport, where a representative will meet you and bring you to your hotel after clearing customs. You will have the rest of the day to relax and explore, the city of Funchal. (*Hotel featured: Pestana Carlton Madeira)
Today you will have a full day tour of the Western part of the island of Funchal. You begin by taking the Estrada Monumental to Câmara de Lobos; you then cross the island in a south to north direction passing along the steep coastline until you arrive to Porto Moniz, there you will be served lunch. On your return to Funchal you will pass through São Roque do Faial, Ribeiro Frio, Terreiro da Luta and onto the Monte before returning to your hotel in the early evening.
Today is a free day to either take one of our optional tours, such as visiting the farmers market in downtown Funchal, or heading to the top suburb of Monte, where you can go down one of hills in a classic toboggan ride.
After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel, and will be transferred to the airport. After arriving at Lisbon’s airport and clearing customs, you will be transferred to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day to rest, and relax.
Today you will have a full day tour, exploring Cascais and Estoril coast, the idyllic town of Sintra, and Cabo da Roca, Europe’s most western point. In Sintra you will be able to visit the famous Palacio da Pena, a romanticist castle, above the village. The castle has excellent views, of Lisbon and the sea. After visiting the castle you will stop for lunch, before heading to Cabo Da Roca, the western most point of continental Europe, overlooks the sea, before heading to the towns of Cascais and Estoril, part of the Portuguese Riviera. You return to your hotel in the evening.
Today is a free day to either take one of our optional tours, such as visiting the medieval town of Óbidos, or head to Belém, to visit the Jerónimos Monastery and sample some Pastéis de Belém.
Today we say goodbye to Lisbon. After checkout, you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport, for your flight back home.
