The island of Sao Miguel in the Azores is a perfect year round destination for golf.   Included in our São Miguel Golf package, you will stay in downtown, Ponta Delgada right infront of the famous Portas do Mar.  Rental car for seven days to get you to and from the golf course, plus you will be able to drive to some of the more beautiful points of the island, such as Sete Cidades and Nordeste.  In addition, you get 5 days of unlimited golf, at the two courses of the island, Furnas and Batalha.  Both courses have unique features, the Furnas course is located on the elevated part of the island, where you see green, for miles and miles.  Batalha, offers three challenging courses, with views of the northern part of the Island and the sea.

Included in the tour package is:

• Round Trip Airfare from Boston to Ponta Delgada.
• 6 nights stay at the Hotel Marina Atlantico in Ponta Delgada.
• 5 days of unlimited golf at the Balalha and/or Furnas golf course.
• 7 day Car rental (Group C-Ford Fiesta manual shift or similar) including unlimited mileage, insurance, airport pickup, and taxes.
• Full American breakfast daily at the hotel, including those arriving on an early morning flight.
• The famous “cozido” lunch in the town of Furnas, after playing 18 holes at the Furnas Golf course.

Tour Add-ons:

• Termas da Ferraria Thermal Spa-  Perfect place to be after playing 18 holes.  The island of Sao Miguel offers one of the more unique spa experiences in Portugal in that the waters of the Termas da Ferraria are heated by volcanic vents.  At the Termas da Ferraria, you can relax in these thermal pools, both indoors and outside.  Need a massage, the Termas offers various spa packages, that will get you feeling refreshed.

• Whale & Dolphin Watching-  The Azores has 24 different types of whales and dolphins species in its waters.  In this 3 hour tour, you’ll get to view these beautiful animals in its natural habitat.  Trips depart twice per day, and life jackets are included, just in case you get too close

             Price: $75 per person. 

• Horseback Riding-  A different way to view the island, while riding on horseback you’ll go places that no car can take you.  You’ll be traveling through old roads, trails and villages, all while enjoying the natural beauty of the Azores.  Tours range from your half day ( 3 hours) to full day including lunch (5-6 hours)

             Price: Range from ($80 per person for the half day- $145 for the full day

• Hiking-  The island of Sao Miguel offers more then 20 different hiking trails.  Some trails are easy where it would take 2 hours to complete, to hard where you’ll need 5 hours to complete the trail, but whether hard or easy, one thing is certain that you’ll be amazed by the nature that surronds you.
